“Green Shield” – Protecting Human Rights in the Fight Against Climate Change

In October 2025, the Bach Ma station recorded an extreme rainfall event reaching 1,739 mm within just 24 hours. The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) is confirming this as one of the highest 24-hour rainfall events known globally. Notably, there has never been a year recording such exceptionally large floods and historic floods occurring simultaneously across 20 rivers.
