To work towards the goal "For a Vietnam without Hunger and Poverty," Vietnam is developing multidimensional poverty standards for the 2026–2030 period, raising the projected income threshold to 2.8 million VND/person/month in urban areas and 2.2 million VND/person/month in rural areas.
